Why a written order form matters
A written cake order form is the simplest way to avoid misunderstandings. It puts the flavor, size, price, date and deposit in one place, so you and your customer agree before any baking starts. It also makes you look professional and helps you get paid on time.
What a complete order form should include
- Your bakery name and contact (phone or WhatsApp, Instagram).
- The customer name and phone number.
- Each item with its quantity and unit price.
- The pickup or delivery date, time and address.
- The total, the deposit paid and the balance due.
- Notes: allergens, flavors, colors and any customization.
A quick example
A customer orders one chocolate layer cake at 300 DH and 12 cupcakes at 15 DH each. The slip shows a 480 DH subtotal, a 200 DH deposit and a 280 DH balance due on delivery. Both sides agree, and there is nothing left to argue about.
