MeltsWell started with a sweet tooth and zero baking talent

Hi, I'm Badr. I love sweets. I just cannot make them. Believe me, I have tried.

I studied engineering and finished my master's, and somewhere between exams I became the person who has to try the new brownie, the new cookie, the new little jar of something. I do not bake. I taste. And I love finding small makers and telling everyone about them.

The idea started, like a lot of ideas, in a conversation with a friend. He pointed me toward restaurants. But big restaurants already have the spotlight, they do not really need help being seen. We did not agree on the direction, so I sat with it for a while.

Then it clicked. Here in Morocco, so many people make incredible sweets from home. No storefront, no marketing budget, just talent and a kitchen. They deserve to be found. So why not build a place made only for them?

Today, finding a home baker means scrolling Instagram for an hour, waiting for an ad, and hoping you can trust the seller. MeltsWell is the opposite: one place where you see the makers, their work, and reach them in seconds. We call them Melters, and they are the heart of everything here.

So what is a Melter?

A Melter is anyone who makes something sweet that melts in your mouth. Chocolatiers, pastry makers, cake designers, candy makers, the friend who makes those jars you cannot stop thinking about. If it is sweet, you are a Melter, and you belong here.

We are just getting started

We launched in Morocco with a big free tier, on purpose. I wanted real makers using it and telling me what is broken (a lot, it turns out) and what they need. Every fix and every feature comes from that feedback. The goal is bigger than one country: a place where any small sweet business, anywhere, can show what they make and get a real shot. I have always wanted to build something that helps people feel like they can do it too.
